1. ORDINANCE Board Communication	To declare it impractical and unfeasible to bid; to authorize the City Manager to enter into a Sole-Source Contract with Unite Private Network, in an amount not to exceed $135,635.00, plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of equipment and service to connect to a Fiber-Based Telecommunications Network for the East Little Rock Community Center; and for other purposes. (Funding from the American Rescue Plan Act) (1^st Reading held on August 1, 2023) Staff recommends approval. Synopsis: An ordinance to authorize the City Manager to enter into a Sole-Source Contract with Unite Private Network for the purchase of equipment and service to connect to a Fiber-Based Telecommunications Network for the East Little Rock Community Center.
2. ORDINANCE Board Communication	To declare it impractical and unfeasible to bid; to authorize the City Manager to enter into a one (1)-year sole-source agreement with City Year, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00, to establish an education program relative to the City’s Educational Initiative for use by the Little Rock School District; to declare an emergency; and for other purposes. (1^st Reading held on August 1, 2023) Staff recommends approval. Synopsis: An ordinance to authorize City Manager to enter into a contract with City Year, Inc., to establish an educational program whereby City Year AmeriCorps Members provide single-point solutions to address a school or student’s needs and designed to meet students’ academic and social-emotional needs by providing support at the individual student, classroom, and whole-school levels and to create school-wide learning environments.
3. ORDINANCE	To declare it impractical and unfeasible to bid; to authorize the City Manager to award a contract to Aptus Financial to assist eligible City Employees to seek student loan forgiveness; to establish an initial fee and an annual renewal fee; to declare an emergency; and for other purposes. (1^st Reading held on August 1, 2023) Staff recommends approval.
